Dr. McKinney has served as the Assistant Director for Advanced Practice at the Arkansas State Board of Nursing since October 2020. With a distinguished nursing career spanning 20 years, she has devoted her expertise to women’s health, high-risk obstetrics, neonatal care, and public health nursing. Prior to her current role, Dr. Mckinney served as a women’s health nurse practitioner at the Arkansas Department of Health, where she played a pivotal role in improving access to care for underserved populations and advancing maternal and neonatal health outcomes. Her leadership and impact in women’s health extend to her appointment as an inaugural member of the Arkansas Maternal Mortality Review Committee, where she served for five years collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to address systemic issues contributing to maternal mortality. Dr. McKinney is a 2024 graduate of the International Center for Regulatory Scholarship Advanced Leadership Institute Certificate Program.
