This facility has the ability to offer x-rays, lab draws, vaccines, and transfer of patients to appropriate facilities for further continuation of care!

Family Practice/Primary Care

Time is split between clinics in Heber Springs and Bradford, Arkansas

Hospitalist from 1800-0200

Nightshift. Takes floor calls. Admissions. Not many discharges during these hours.

Hospitalized Orthopaedic patients

This preceptorship is geared toward acute care. I work closely with hospitalists and orthopedic surgeons, to assess, diagnose, and treat orthopedic patients that have been admitted to the hospital. This includes elective surgeries, as well as emergent and non-emergent trauma surgeries. There are generally 5-20 patients to round on daily. I also teach a 1-hour total joint education class to patients prior to elective in-patient surgeries.

University Institution in Medical Oncology Clinic

Accepting APRN students with an interest in oncology, specifically hematology

Teaching facility ED with own 24 hour obs unit.

Combination of ED patients and working in a protocol driven ED observation unit. 12 hour shifts days and nights 7-7 with some weekends.

Inpatient acute care setting.

Inpatient acute care hospital setting with a unique practice of providing infectious disease consultations to patients with primary orthopedic problems. Provide assistance with antimicrobial therapy for prosthetic joint infections, osteomyelitis, vertebral osteomyelitis, bacteremia, infective endocarditis, skin/soft tissue infections, etc. Medication monitoring through hematology/chemistry labs and drug levels. Daily rounds while inpatient. Following cultures and labs while on Outpatient Parenteral Antimicrobial Therapy (OPAT).

Monday through Friday clinic offering chemotherapy and cancer survivorship clinics.

Urgent care and after hours

I work at a hospital urgent care from 8 AM to 4 PM and an after hours clinic from 5-9 PM same day 3 days a week. Every other Saturday as well.
