 ANPA is accepting nominations for positions on the Board of Directors

Serving on the ANPA Board of Directors is a rewarding experience. It provides an outstanding opportunity for Nurse Practitioners in Arkansas to engage in progressive leadership. The ANPA membership and the Board of Directors work together towards fulfilling the goals of ANPA to "Unite, Support, Educate, and Enhance" the practice and profession of Nurse Practitioners. Adding enthusiastic new Members to the Board of Directors will strengthen the voice of NPs in Arkansas. ANPA is seeking NP candidates who want to share their skills in meaningful leadership by running for an elected position with ANPA. This call for nominations is open to ANPA members through September 10, 2015. If you wish to nominate yourself or someone else, please do so by completing the Survey Monkey at the following link:

The Nomination and Election Schedule:

  • Nominations will are open from August 10, 2015 to September 10, 2015
  • The slate of candidates will be presented September 24, 2015
  • Voting will begin September 24, 2015
  • Voting will be conducted via Survey Monkey
  • Voting will be closed on October 24, 2015
  • The announcement of the newly elected officers will be available on November 1, 2015

The officiating structure of the ANPA shall consist of the President, President-elect, Secretary, Treasurer, and the immediate Past President:

President-Elect (1) - Candidates for President-Elect must have been a member of the Interim Board during 2014-2015 and must be an ANPA member in good standing.

Secretary (1) - Candidates for Secretary must be an ANPA member in good standing.

The following positions for Members of the Board are open to nomination:

Members-at-Large (5) - Candidates for Members-at-Large must be ANPA members in good standing, two of whom must be nominated from the 2014-2015 Interim Board and three will be elected from the membership

District Representative Board Members (6) - Candidates for District Representatives must be ANPA members in good standing, who reside in their respective Districts. The six ANPA Districts are identified and are attached to the nomination and election page.

Student Representative Board Member (1) - Candidates for Student Representative must be an ANPA student member in good standing.
Board Requirements:

The President's term is 3 years and is elected as the President-Elect. The following year the President-Elect assumes the position as President. At the third year, the current President becomes the Immediate Past-President

  • The terms of office are two years
  • The Board of Directors will meet monthly
  • The District Representatives will meet with the Board at least 4 times per year and will be members of the District Representative Committee
  • All Board Members are expected to take an active role leadership role in ANPA, which may include committee membership or serving as a Chair of a committee

*** The purpose of the District Committee will be to define the District Director's responsibilities, develop District goals and objectives, and to help establish District policies.
