2022 Arkansas Nurse Practitioner Association Annual Conference
“Nurse Practitioners – The Natural Choice”

We enthusiastically invite you to share your expertise and knowledge with fellow nurse practitioners at the 2022 Arkansas Nurse Practitioner Association Annual Conference!
What are you passionate about? Share it with your fellow NPs.
This year, we hope to offer 30, 60, and 90-minute concurrent podium sessions, workshops, and a poster session. Categories for presentation at this conference include: primary care, acute care, pediatric, women’s health, mental health, and practice issues. Final selection will be based on the quality and clarity of the abstract proposal and relevance to the contemporary nurse practitioner environment.
Submission information:
Abstract must be received electronically by 5:00 p.m. on Friday, January 7, 2022. Submit proposals through the Google form: CLICK HERE. If you are unable to follow the link please cut and paste this link into your web browser: https://forms.gle/vSepSHvn1TQpxxVB6
All submissions will be automatically acknowledged via e-mail.
Presenters will be notified of acceptance by January 14, 2022.
Appropriate Content:
- Updates regarding clinical innovations and practice issues relevant to NP’s (to allow coverage within a 30 to 90-minute session).
- Pharmacology, pediatric, acute care, and older adult content is encouraged.
- Information should be applicable to NP practice environments.
- Completed research/quality improvement projects are welcome.
Abstract Format:
- Title of presentation: Title may not exceed 15 words.
- Authors: Provide name, e-mail, phone contact, and organizational affiliation for first author. Include name(s) and email address(es) for additional authors/presenters.
- Please specify if submitting for podium, workshop, or poster. If podium, indicate desired presentation length. Workshops will be 2 – 3 hours.
- Indicate one or more of these categories for your presentation: primary care, acute care, pediatrics, mental health, older adult, practice issues, or other.
- Body: Provide a summary of your presentation in 300 words or less. Include: purpose, review of literature, implications for NPs, and summary of innovation of practice. For completed research/quality improvement projects include methods and results.
- Teaching method (lecture, panel discussion, case studies, etc.).
- Include up to three (3) objectives for podium presentations or workshops, and one (1) objective for posters.
- For pharmacology content, indicate objective with (Rx) and specify time in minutes covering pharmacology.
- Indicate whether you will be available to present April 1, 2022, April 2, 2022, or both.
- Indicate whether you will need internet access during your presentation.
- Funding source: If presentation has been funded in full or part by a grant, list the funding agency at the end of the abstract.
- Also, please indicate whether you would be willing to complete a recording for a virtual option for this conference.
- References are not required for the abstract submission process.
Selection process:
The Education Committee will meet to finalize selection and schedule of presentations based upon criteria for abstract selection.
Notifications:
Notification of acceptance will be communicated via e-mail no later than January 14, 2022. Notification will be sent to the primary author of record only. It is the responsibility of the primary author to communicate with other presenters regarding the scheduled presentation.
SESSION TYPES:
Podium presentations
Presentations will be for 30, 60, or 90 minutes, which will include time for questions and answers.
Poster presentations
Posters should not exceed 36” x 48”. Posters will be on display April 1, with presenters being at their poster at designated times.
