Patients come in once a year for their annual exams and have their birth control refilled. When they can’t get in before their medication runs out and the previous provider no longer works there can an APRN who has never seen them send refills until their upcoming appointment.
Refer to the ASBN Rules 17 CAR 123-1201. This would most likely fit in the cross-coverage situation discussed in (c)(2).
