ANPA NP Business Owner Spotlight: Lindsey Dunn APN

We’re thrilled to recognize NP Business Owner Spotlight: Lindsey Dunn.  She is the owner of a Gerontology, primary care practice named BL Physician Home Care Solutions PLLC also DBA Priority Health Medical.  She has been in business for 3 years. When asked her business, she said "Dr. Shah and I came together and saw patients returning to the hospital within 30 days of discharge and found if we could see them at home within 30 days and provide medical care it kept patients home."  Lindsey, thank you for being such a valued part of our community and your support of ANPA. Take a moment to read her interview responses and get to know her better!

What is your background and how did you develop your skill set?

I worked in audio recording for 13 years before I found the calling to become an APN. From The age 7-13 I did want to be a cardio thoracic surgeon and each year every birthday and Christmas I received medical books from family members to Study different areas of the human body.

What is your biggest success to date?

My partnership with Dr. Bushra Shah, my marriage to Rick Dunn and Motherhood to Mason, Ian and Les

What has been your biggest challenge?

The state of our economy and working in such a rural State/Community

What inspires you to hit the ground running each morning?

My patients

What’s an interesting fact about your business that most people don’t know?

We see patients who are home bound that are unable to leave their homes.

When you’re not working, what is your favorite thing to do?

Spend time with my family.
