We are very excited to announce our distinguished guest speakers for the 4th Annual ANPA Spring Conference!

Margaret A. Fitzgerald, DNP, FNP-BC, NP-C, FAANP, CSP, FAAN, DCC, FNAP, is the founder, president, and principal speaker of Fitzgerald Health Education Associates (FHEA), an international provider of nurse practitioner certification preparation and continuing education for healthcare providers.  An internationally recognized presenter, Dr. Fitzgerald has provided thousands of programs for numerous professional organizations, universities, andnational and state healthcare associations on a wide variety of topics including clinical pharmacology, clinical assessment, laboratory diagnosis, healthcare, and nurse practitioner practice.  For more than 25 years, she has provided graduate-level pharmacology courses for NP students at a number of universities.  In addition, she practices at the Greater Lawrence Family Health Center, Lawrence, MA, providing muligenerational primary and urgent care.  She is the recipient of National Organization of Nurse Practitioner Faculties' Lifetime Achievement Award and the American College of Nurse Practitioner's Sharp Cutting Edge Award, among others.  Dr. Fitzgerald is widely published with more than 200 articles, book chapters, monographs, and audio and video programs.  She has provided consultation to nursing organizations worldwide.  Dr. Fitzgerald is an active member of numerous national and local professional organizations.

Leslie L. Davis, PhD, RN, ANP-BC, FAANP, FAHA is an Associate Professor of Nursing at the Univ of North Carolina at Greensboro. Since 2000 she has maintained a part-time practice as a NP in cardiology. As a clinician, she focuses her care on patients with hypertension, heart failure, and acute coronary syndromes (ACS). Dr. Davis is a fellow in the American Association of Nurse Practitioners, the American Heart Association, and the Preventive Cardiovascular Nurses Association. In 2017 she served as a coauthor for the 2017 ACC Expert Consensus Decision Pathway for Optimization of Heart Failure Treatment: Answers to 10 Pivotal Issues About Heart Failure with Reduced Ejection Fraction. In addition, she has served as editor for the book Cardiovascular Nursing Secrets (2004), as guest editor for two special cardiovascular editions in the Journals for NPs (2013 and 2019), has authored/coauthored articles 30+ papers in peer-reviewed journals, 13 book chapters, and other scholarly products related to cardiovascular topics. 

Brett Snodgrass, FNP-C, CPE, FAANP is a Family Nurse Practitioner practicing at First Choice Care in Collierville, TN. She has practiced as a Family Nurse Practitioner in multiple settings for the last 12 years. She is also the owner of BBS Health Education – where she creates and presents continuing education for healthcare providers, both live and online. She is a nationally recognized nurse practitioner speaker and teacher.  She is also an award-winning healthcare blogger – The NP Mom.  Her blog offers answers to patient’s questions they often forget to ask! You can visit her blog at www.thenpmom.wordpress.com.  Brett Is a chronic pain expert, working for more than 20 years with chronic pain patients in many settings. Brett is board certified with the American Association of Nurse Practitioners, where she is currently the TN State Representative.   She is also a Fellow of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners. Brett received the 2015 AANP State Excellence Award for Tennessee for her work across the state on the TN Chronic Pain Task Force, as well as advocating for TN Full Practice Authority for Nurse Practitioners.   She was also awarded the 2017 Memphis Business Journal Healthcare Hero Award.

This conference is offered to nurse practitioners for continuing education purposes. The Conference Committee is excited to offer this exceptional opportunity for networking and providing relevant continuing education. It will be an opportunity to join together with our nurse practitioner colleagues.
